Hello everyone! :)

Here in Japan the black kite (or tonbi as it is locally known) can be seen everywhere, is relatively easy to approach and they can be quite handsome also! These days I'm trying to put Arthur Morris teachings to good use with this bird which is locally abundant. The only problem is the lack of good perches as fences are a rarity here in Matsue. Here is the result I'm most pleased about lately:

Please let me know what you think!

It is a very nice looking bird and you did a great job with the EXP. Perfect head angle and nice catch light.
Perch shows the urban setting :)

Welcome and good self-critique on the perch. Sharp with a good EXP. Are there any spots where you could get to the top of their urban perches and duct tape a natural perch in place for them?

The face and eye could be lightened a bit.

Perch is not the best but I love the sharpness and head turn of the kite. Perhaps a bit of more room at the right would help to improve composition. BTW, welcome on board :)
