Very nice, Ovidiu! I am in love with your BG - you really set up the image and made the most of what you had here. A few things I think would improve upon this, though...

First, I would love to have seen a bit more stem - I feel like the flower is really top heavy because the stem is so short and the bottom leaves are cut off - including another inch or two of stem would have put this over the top for me. Only other thing I see is a dark area along the middle of the right side of the frame. A simple adjustment there and that BG would be out of this world.

The colors and the DOF are lovely. The bottom does appear a bit cut off but I still love this one!

Thank you for comments and suggestions. You are right. Seems that I've been looking too much for the bg and missed a good placement for the subject.
I think I will plant more chives for the next year:D. I'll have more BG and this will give me more room for composition:).

Ovidiu, this BG is fantastic! I agree that more stem would put this shot over the top but as is, it's still at the top! :)
