Taken indoors, natural light; Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm macro, I think I used a 500D magnifying lens; ISO 160, 2.5 sec., F45 (relative), manual focus (live view), manual exposure. PP: Elements 7, PS7; added contrast to anthers in Topaz Detail. Cropped left side.

This is beautiful! Like the composition and colors. Great sharp stamens! It has a 3D feel. Love it!

well done!. great details and color. But I miss the "movement" that I saw in your previous images.

Very nice, Anita! This one has a nice flow from the UL to the LR that I find very appealing. You might consider cloning over those whitish stripes near the left side but it's still lovely as is.

Thanks. Those white stripes are the BG showing between the petals. I'll see what others think.

Perfect exposure and DOF, Anita. The colors also look right in line. I also find the white areas a little distracting but they don't ruin the image for me at all. I do think I might prefer it without them but this is also very lovely.

Ken and Jules: Is this what you had in mind? I DO appreciate suggestions.

Yup. I think that takes the fluidity of the tulip from edge to edge now where as before it felt "stopped" where the white areas were.
