Hey Al,

First time online with new laptop.

Image looks outstanding on new Mac Book Pro...perfect exposure and post-processing. I especially like the inclusion of environment and subject placement within the frame.

Best,

Chas

Very nice composition and subject. Love the snow on the bison's face. Good crisp snow on the plants and like the trees just showing in the background. Almost duo tone, excellent.

... :) figured you couldn't Peter !!!! Those animals looks awesome with heavy winter snow and probably the absolute best is with steam coming out and face all frosted up !!! .. btw I've been told when it gets to minus forty the just feel mighty fine and toasty :)

Al, the winter, snowy BG's you guys have over there, sure enhance any image. Comp works well, with good placement of the Bison. I like how you havent cut the top of the trees off. Peter's conversion works well too.

Something I would like to capture in camera Al, love the setting.

For me, a small heard in 'heavy' falling snow, simply perfect. Arranging any trips later Al? :)

I like this image. Shows the environment nicely. Peter's repost generates a feeling of harsh winter to me.

One of the BBC awarded images - don't remember the year - was like Alfred described. I am not sure I can cope up with -50 deg centigrade. :) I hope I can get used to shooting in snow. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

I really like how the bison forms a part of the landscape here. The trees in the BG are a great touch.

Hi Alfred, I really liked the snow lying on the fur on his neck, it emphasized those massive shoulders. Also loved the snowy tree backdrop. excellent shot.

Great shot Alfred. The environment looks good too. I'd have been tempted to add a bit more to the right and top to drop the Bison down a bit and to the left (the disadvantage being that he will become smaller in the frame). I'm also with you on the "ideal" of having steam and more snow on his coat (near the Thermals would be a big bonus).

Hello Alfred,

I really like this picture with the colored bison contrasting on the whitish environment. I can feel the cold just by looking at the picture. I like also the ethereal bg bringing mystery to the pic. Conventionnal composition working well. What means YNP?

Cheers,

Michel
