It seems to be the season for iris photo...:)

I always think of looking inside someone's mouth with their tongue's stuck out when I see these images! I'd suggest giving this some Clockwise rotation so the little filaments and the stamen on the inside of the iris are more straight up and down.

Also, you have a dark area on the right side of the inner area of the iris - I pushed the midtone slider on a levels adjustment layer to the left to brighten that up and then ran a little noise reduction to clean it up a little further.

Hi Adrian, Real interesting image it with the composition leading the viewer into the frame, I like what Jules did with the tighter crop and the lightening of the iris it helps eliminate some unneeded space and even out the tonalities.

Thank you very much Julie! When I was processing the image, I thought about a tighter crop...but I was captivated by the shapes and textures of the flower...It seems that on most cases, less is more...
Here it is a different crop.
