This is one of my earlier work. Taken earlier this year, not long after I got my telephoto lens.
I always laugh when I see these birds land, more of a fall than landing. :p
Comments and Critiques are greatly appreciated!

Troy:
Nice exposure, colors, flared landing pose.
Wish the head was angled a bit more our way, and was a bit sharper.
It is always fun to look back at our older images, to see how our skills have progressed.
Cheers

I like the pre-landing pose, eye contact and BG. It is a bit small to talk about details.

I like this kind of wing position, very graceful. Sharpness seems ok for me at this size.

Randy,
Agree, wish it was flying slight at an angle. Shot taken at Venice Rookery.
Yes, there are thousands of images I wish I did not take, but then again, it is always nice to look back and glad to know I would not try to repeat those mistakes again.

Troy:
I try to learn from ever image, even the ones "I shouldn't have taken"
I have found getting good anhinga shots at the Venice rookery a challenge because of the shooting angles on the island.
Cheers

Agree with you Randy. Every place has its challenge, and I wish City of Venice would open up the other side of the rookery to give us more options :)
