Photographed at Barnegat Light, high clouds helped with the exposure.

Love the inquisitive look, the bow and aft wavelets, the perfect EXP, and the soft light. All in all, very loverly.

I think I like the water, texture and colors, the most in this one.
Very nice...

Great swimming pose. Love the water and the waves.
Excellent detail in the whites. Nicely done!
Had a flock of about 1000 of these guys off of Plum Island last week.
Way too far to photograph but nonetheless an impressive sight.

Lovely shot, Axell.
I would have liked to have seen the colour of the beak a bit more as they have beutiful blueish coloured one.

Over a 1000? That must have been a great sight. There were maybe 100 at Barnegat.

Thanks, Karl! The bill of the female was a bit greenish as in this image. I haven't seen a female with a blueish bill around here but then, I have never seen one in full breeding plumage.
