This was photographed during my frustrating photographic days when I couldn't fathom out how people managed to get so close to and photograph the smaller variety birds so I went out and purchased a Canon 2x II Extender which nowadays seldom gets used and merely collects dust as I still struggle to get any closer. :D Thanks for looking!

Nice background but the oof barbed-wire perch does not anything to the picture for me. A vertical crop would elminate most of fence. A good rule of thumb is to have the shutter speed at least equal the focal length of the lens -- in this case you might have better results using at least 1/1200 ss

Good-looking specimen, sharpness and BG. Too bad the bird was not sitting on a more attractive perch.
