Found this cute guy who was sticking 1/2 way out of his burrow at Brian Piccolo Park.
I got flat on the ground for this one. Too tight? I wanted to try to fill the frame as much as possible here. Add canvas on top? or crop to vertical?

Michael, I like the angle of pose, and good to see the open beak with the tongue visible. Comp wise, I would maybe add a bit to the top, as it is very tight there. I would crop off at the bottom to just above the green leaf, LRC.

Nice pop, great detail on bill and face, and I like the open-mouth capture. Agree that it's too tight at top and crop out at bottom. Lovely BG and capture, Michael.

Michael:
Nice image quality! Sharp.
The whites on the breast a bit hot on my monitor
I agree about a bit more room at top, but actually like the bottom crop as is. I like the effect of him coming out of the greenery.
I might consider toning down the brightness of the mound behind him.
I like it.

Michael,
I would add canvas on top. That was close. Love the pose. Got any of this funny guy with both eyes?

Wonderful, lots of life. I've been to that park but did not get that close. I really like the detail, colors, and "personality" of the pose. Is the bird growling at you or an errant softball?
