Great moment captured. I like that the fish is upside down, light and composition. The image appears to be oversharpened, there is a sharpening halo and the BG is quite noisy.

Would try starting over and doing just levels a bit of curves then slight sharpening Will make a difference Sometime less is more !!!!

A nice job on the white exposure that so far I haven't been able to accomplish.

Great catch. Could be my monitor but there seems to be a slight magenta cast on the egret. I would also suggest a slight CW rotation. How does this one look to you?

BG color on Dieter verzion is lovely and bird color on your is lovely :)

Sweet and the repost is a ton better. I might go a step further to work selectively on the eyes of both fish and bird. I have to admit though that the technique is kind of like a new toy for me at the moment, so I want to use it a lot :D
