This is an image from last year near Tule Lake NWR in Oregon. I used DAP and then applied Topaz simplify. Hope you like it...

Indranil, Nice painterly look to this. I think the colors are lovely. I feel like a tiny bit more of the bottom part of the cattail if you have it would anchor this nicely. The combo of filters looks great.:)

Hi Indranil,
I love the filters that you have used on this - the painterly effect is very nice. Agree with Denise about the perch - also find it a little overpowering.
Best,
Nicki

Hi Indranil, Beautiful painted look. Nice muted colors and I like the turned back pose. I might tone down the cattail just a tad and maybe lighten the eye a little to give it some more life.

Indranil, I love the colors and the choice of filters. Maybe a little darker on the cattail, but I love the painting effect:)

Indranil, I love the photo and treatment. I see Red-wings on the cattails all the time and you have captured it well. The colors and painting effect are very nice. I like that the patch on the bird's wing is so well defined. Agree that brightening the eye might be good.

Thanks folks... appreciate all the feedback. Here is a repost with extended canvas at the bottom, darkened perch and lightened eye...
