Excellent details for a LB image. Did you use a tripod? Please say yes:p Very beautiful vibrant colors Ed.

I can never tell a lie. The tripod was atop the trash can and the camera was hand held. After all, it was past noon.

Vibrant colors, sharp where it should be. Composition-wise I would think it may be better if you have moved the camera about one half to one full inch to the left :)

Love the colors nonetheless !

I love the comp just the way it is. That yellow and orange really stand out well against the BG.

BTW, thanks for getting that stupid song stuck in my head! It seems that I'm going to have to post a Buttercup shot in retaliation. :D

From the thumbnail I was going to suggest an alternative crop...but after seeing the full size image I like it...I mean love it...as is! The in-focus stamen set against the OOF petal is nicely balanced against the focussed petals at right. If anything I'd very slightly burn the lighter areas. Well done!!

I can see what Daniel means about ever so slightly burning the highlighted areas - I think that would be the finishing touch. I love the way you kept the orange tip of the pistil from colliding with the orange of the petal - very nice placement, Ed.
