Fiery Phragmites

Sometimes when shooting birds I use my long lens for landscapes. While shooting a group of Buffleheads and Red-breasted Mergansers with the sun at my back, I turned around to see how much time I had left before the sun went below the horizon, and immediately saw this. The phragmites directly underneath the sun literally looked like flames.

Hey Ryan,
I like this a lot! While it may not have the strong center of interest I normally look for in a landscape image the subtle layers and colors are fantastic! This does represent the marsh rather nicely. You may want to try a subtle LCE.....just to boost the subtle layers a bit more.....but al in all.....nicely seen and composed!

Hi Ryan, you divided the image well. It's very different than what were used to looking at here but has alot of interest with good lighting...
