I like the pose and the bird's position in the grass. The purples, however, are mega-over-saturated and could use some eye doctor work as well. How do you convert?

I'm loving the angle, eye contact, colors, exposure, framing and sharpness! Definitely a lot to like here! The only thing that gets me is the grass covering part of the breast.

Are the purples over blown? I've never seen one of these guys in person.

I really like the low angle and the pose of the bird. You did well capturing the metallic sheen of the feathers. The purples don't look too over the top to me but I like colorful photos. A touch of contrast on just the eye looked good to me.

Hi Bryan, Nice pose and low angle I think some fill flash would have helped get some light on the lower half of the breast. I pulled the image into PS and while the histogram looks good as far as the highlights go the shadow side of the histogram is blocked up.
