The most common bird in my yard. They don't often come to the ground and when they do, they hate dragging their tail so keep it cocked.

Good low angle, enough to soften to nicely the BG and give it good separation from the subject. Good foraging pose, but wish the head was angled our way instead of away. I'd look into raising the colour temp too. This guy has striking facial features...I like the yellow near the eye.

Interesting pose, sharp, and nice background blur. Agree about the head angle. Would be tempted to crop out more of the foreground.

Nice picture, beautiful bird! Agree with the above comments. The tail is almost overexposed, and i find the background still a bit disturbing

Great bird, I wish I had it in my backyard.
Agree about the HA but also about whites.
Did you try recovery in ACR?

A really interesting species. I don't really mind about the HA, I find it gives an unusual inquisitive expression.
Agree that the FG grass doesn't add to the image and could be cropped a little.
