The light wasn't very kind on this occasion but I liked the attitude this lion gave … he had just finished an argument with the other pride male. I have cropped a bit off the top but not sure if I should have taken more. I wanted to keep some of the parallel lines in the grass in the final image but not so sure. Any C&C welcomed.

Hi Hilary

You gotta love those eyes here , as I love images showing home of animal , this works very well for me

Light not bad, works fine. Maybe your PP helped :)
Love his expression - you, yeah you, you have a problem with that?!?!?!
I would indeed crop more off top to about equal space to bottom perhaps.

I like the looks. using a longer focal length to just get the face would have been nice. Taking off a bit from the top will strengthen the image. Slightly more space at the bottom would have been better. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Sabyasachi, I do have more space at the bottom and so can easily re-crop. I agree with having a close up as well, but of course this was a fleeting moment and seconds later he was lying down! Typical male lion..:p
