Hi Ken. Very cool wasp, great details, wonderful perch. The blue in the BG adds nice contrast, might consider painting it in the UL corner for a continous color.

Ken, Ken, Ken! I can't get over how beautiful this is! I do wonder if some of the whites aren't a bit hot in places but against the blue of the sky and the brown of the wasp I almost don't care.

I would definitely see if you could realistically clone the blue to the ULC around those petals where it fades out - I think that would take this way over the top.

Jules, the whites are definitely hot in places but I was so happy with the rest of the shot that, like you, I was able to get past that problem. :)

We have 2 votes for filling in the upper left with blue so I'll give it a try.

I'm still working on it but here's a quick edit to give an idea of what it might look like. Now I'm wondering if I need to fill in the small area on the top edge above the wing with blue.

How did you manage to do this? I have trouble cloning next to a flower edge.

This one was relatively easy because of the solid color. I masked off the area and used the paint bucket tool to fill in the blue. It needed and still needs some fine tuning but that took care of the bulk of the area.
