Hi Ken You nailed this one !!!

Good tech settings, lots of shutter speed, manual on the exposure. All you needed was better light, check the shadow on the wing .. sun was high already. Did have a great sun angle and not much more you could have done !!

If those guys would have come in earlier the sun would have lit up the wings, that is why we keep talking about softer light. I know its frustrating since we want to photograph longer (and I do) but the first hour or so is normally best ... unless clouds come in and you have a strong overcast !!

Like the composition and eye contact. Little dark for my taste. A little sharpening of the faces might help

Hi Ken, Agree with Al's comments. A key element of photography is light and the image would of improved with more golden light. The front head does look a bit soft...

Hi Ken - doing well - Agree with AL'S comments - but still does not hurt to practice at any hour - the basics are the same - just need the good light.
