A study in blues. The sight and sound of the snowgeese as they lift off are wonderful things to experience. Image taken Feb. 25, 2008 8AM

Color lovely. Needs less at the top and more of the water... Not sure what some of the stuff in the BKGR is but it needs to be smoothed out.

later and love, artie

This is pure magic Terry. It has a dreamlike quality that is most difficult to have recognized
in the brief instant, let alone to have captured so beautifully.
The wonderful lighting adds so much to the mood. Bravo !

Terry I like the overall impression taht you're trying to offer here. This image obviously would look better at full size. That being said it nedds a little CCW rotation to level out the waterline.

Thanks very much for the comments and suggestions. Here is a revised version with the compostion changed a bit as Artie suggested. I bumped up the contrast and darkened a bit and rotated 0.5 degree ccw. In any case, see what you think.

Hi Terry

For what it's worth I liked the original. The colours are much more natural and the extra space above gave me a sense of the birds going somewhere. Lovely image.

Thanks very much, Tony. I agree, I like the more subtle and realistic colors of the original too. Its such a privilege to live so close and to be able to witness these wonderful birds.

I like them both, but my preference goes for the second one. The beauty is sublime. Nice work, Terry.
