Congratulations Bill Dix
Northern Flicker 2
D90; 80-400 VR @ 400mm. ISO 800. f/7.1 @ 1/640s. Matrix metering @ -0.3 EV. Cropped to vert; very slight crop off height.
Last week two male Northern Flickers showed up at my suet feeder, and have stuck around ever since. I captured one of them on Friday and posted it Sunday on Avian. That afternoon I captured the other male, presented here. I like this one better, although the tip of his tail disappears behind the trunk. Add this to the backyard bird series. C&C appreciated.
