The light was absolutely on the wrong side here.
It was directly in front of me, I could hardly see the bird.
I liked the rock and pose so much though that I fired
the flash and decided to shoot anyway. Did it work at all?
CC appreciated.

BTW Could hardly be more backyard bird, I have a pair nesting
right above my back door right now.

Ilija, I love the beautiful colored BG and the pose. I might tone down the feet a bit. I like it a lot. :)

It is killer good. I love the light and the bird and the rocks and the great BKGR. And the COMP. Flash on the dark side worked out perfect. I would like to see a bit more detail on the back-lit part of the breast.

Thank you, you are too kind.

Artie: I think I can get more detail on the back-lit parts. Only the edge was flashing red
and it was easily recovered. Will try...

Denise: Agree about the legs, won't be trouble to tone down a bit...

Thanks again :)

Ilija, this does work VERY well. Great light, wonderful colors and very good composition. You did a great job here with a difficult situation.
