If you know the back island at Wakodahatchee, the background you get is all the houses, which is very unfortunate, as this back island can be very productive sometimes, but most shots will be useless, because of the background. Same thing with this picture. Still posted, as I like these egrets in there breeding plumage with beautiful colors.

I love to see them in their breeding plumage as well.
really nice light and i like the wing stretch.
The house is not too distracting, overall a decent shot.

Nice warm colour here. I don't mind the vegetation, and the upper half of the BG is superb...but the house is a pity IMO (I was actually wondering what that was before I read your image description). Too bad the head is seemingly angled away a bit, and wish the near wing was higher up (this might have also prevented the shadow on it). Oh, and I would eliminate the spot on the bill:). Exposure and sharpness are A-1!

Loverly light and bird. Bad house ;) Wing position could be better as noted. Bill and chin clean-up would improve it.
