Lovely image. Can you please explain the set up, so that it will be easier to visualise. Unlike Alfred, I have never done underwater photography.

The colours, composition and the sharpness has come out well.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Hi Sabyasachi

The EWA is a simple uW housing and great for this shallow water application. It is not a rigid housing, fits around the camera like clear bag and you have access to controls, seals real well and its dependable. For traveling must be great for the size and weight compared to the other systems.

Was only wandering if it had a dome port, UW you will gain magnification so we use rounded dome ports for WA lenses. With a flat port a 100mm lens on a 1.6 crop factor camera must work out to around 200 (guessing). Lots of fun down there !!!

Hey Al,

Unfortunately, the EWA bag housing has only a flat port, definitely a downside with the wide-angles. It is a bit tough to manipulate camera controls and orient the bag vertically UW. Albeit a far cry from my Aquatica 4s housing set-ups and Nikonos systems when I did UW photography around the globe in the 90's... the EWA housing is super for those looking to take UW images with a limited budget and frequency.

The last few years participants have used over 20 EWA housings without fail, producing hundreds of outstanding images. For anyone doubting the validity of the housing ....I sold over 9k worth of UW images taken with the EWA bag last year.

I am looking forward to returning to the manatees again next year, it will be my 10th trip.

Best,

Chas

Chas for the intended use can't imagine a better unit !! Seems like they could come up with a dome, sure do sell lots of them !

Definitely the best image I ever saw of a manatee!
You write the image is watermarked, but I don't see it. Do you have some very subtle way of watermarking? I'd love to know about that!
