This is the same tree in my last post. However, this time I used a longer focal length and a lower point of view trying to isolate the tree. I took into account the suggestions on the previous post and reduced the FG grass and reduced the brightness a bit.

40D with 24-105 @ 75. Cropped a bit. F 9 1/640 Hand held. The high ISO and fast SS were left over from some just concluded action imaging and in the haste to get the image left the camera settings as is.:o

Thanks for looking. C&C most welcome.

Hey Ed...I like both posts ....hard to say which one I prefer....I do like the clouds more in the original. They had more contrast.

I quite like this Ed. Lovely East-African icon image. You might be able to get more pop and drama from the clouds. Comp is cool!

Like the idea Ed, personally I'd like to see an even wider view.

Ed,

That is exactly what I had in mind when I critiqued the other image. Just right to me.

Hey Ed,
I find the comp here very nice as presented but do agree on seeing if you can eek more tonal range out of the clouds. Nicely done!
