Nice detail and pose. Good use of fill. I might tone down the catchlights if mine. Nice portrait. TFS

Well done! I like the expression and the view of the teeth. Fill flash was perfect. Catchlights don't bother me.

Chris,

I think you did the flash-fill just right. You maintained the look of the backlighting but brought out the detail. Nice and sharp with good DOF on the face and hands adds up to an excellent image.

Hi Chris,

Fill flash looks very well handled to my eyes. Good expression and view of the teeth.

Agree with above comments, just the right amount of fill flash to bring out some nice detail in their mischievous expression.
Chris, how are you finding the new D3s?

Thanks guys, I find the D3s and SB900 combo extremely accurate, and the superb high ISO performance of the D3s means I can reach further with my flash. I have no hesitation to work in ISO 2000.

Thanks Chris
What I should have said, was how are you finding it over your old D3? With my D3, have found up to ISO 3200 is very acceptable, but the s model is now very acceptable @ISO6400.
Have the D3/SB900 also and agree on the extra reach. ;)

Fine image. The expression is nice. The flash has definitely lifted the frame. Thanks for sharing.

Nice eye contact and I like the way he is biting into the fruit. Would like to see a little more detail around the mouth.
