Nice light and pose. The whites in the neck are borderline, but what really does not work for me here is the head intersection exactly with the shoreline.

Yeah, too close to the shoreline. Will keep trying.

Well exposed showing good feather detail and colour.

Nice timing Troy and lovely detail and a beautiful flight pose.. I agree with the beak and the shoreline intersecting. Many thanks for sharing.

Hi Troy:

You did a great job with exposure here and the bird is nice and sharp. Angle is pretty good too. If it weren't for the split BG right on the bird, you'd have a nice capture here. If at first you don't succeed...

It was nice finally having a chance to meet and photograph with you.

It was nice to finally meet you too. Let me know when you come down again. I like to go out and shoot with other photographers, more fun that way. Yes, if at first I don't succeed, I will try again. I am happy to be able to get shots of spoonbills just been doing this for like 8 months.
