Srephen,

You have no idea how it pleases me to see a lion in this reserve without any apparent collar, the colour looks a little grey.

Hi Stephen Love the pose and look, seems to have had a rough time !!! Just a little tight and more room if you have it !!! Love it !!!

I like the eye contact and the angle. It looks engaging. The lacerations on the back lends some character. I agree with Ken about the colours.

Cheers,

Love the pose, find the comp slightly tight. I really like the colour. Is it as shot or did you play with WB or tones?
Cheers

Tight crop or frame works for me here , he looks well fed and raised paw is adding, Fine eye contact,
All in all Excellent image

Love the pose and eye contact along with the up-raised paw. Colors look grey on my monitor as well.

Thanks for the comments guys. I actually warmed the pic up quite a bit. This lion is kinda grey and the scene is more or less as I remember.

However, here's a repost that I warmed up considerably.

Well done Stephen. Comp and crop work as is for me also. I prefer the colors of the op myself, a little more moody. Nice sharpness and nice oof bg. TFS

I like the OP colour and mood Stephen. Looks like a gangsta-lion :)
I was under the impression there weren't lions in Mashatu? Seems like you had a good trip!

Hi Stephen,

I too would go for the OP, looks authentic & well balanced to me. Agree, a little to tight in the frame, but guess you get the shot or not. He does look like he has been in the 'wars'. the look & raised paw makes it for me.:)

I would prefer something between OP & RP
