Another image I made at Middle Creek a few days ago. The overcast sky helped with the exposure.

Thanks, Grace! You should join me next year. It's amazing to see over 100,000 of them. This year there were 120,000 at the peak time.

Great pose and perfect exposure. I love the dark background, it really sets the bird off nicely!

Sorry Axel, I have missed the other posts but I can see from here why this is so popular! love that BG and under wing details.

I had the same thought as others when viewing - the background is ideal for the goose, and that's due to the great exposure. Nice work!

Like to other images in this series, I like everything about it technically and I think that the background is really nice for this type of image.

To my eyes, I'd like to see the subject just a bit higher in the frame on this one.

This guy seems stockier than the others. Exposure spot on, and I still remember commenting on how great the BG is, in one of your earlier post of these guys.

With all due respect, Jim, if the goose is flying up and it is very obvious it is, the negative space should be up ahead of him. Placing him higher would put him past his optimal flight position IMO.
It was about time we disagreed, no? :)

Gorgeous sky and perfect whites.

Thanks for the comments, Jim and Fabs! The slight upward flight angle is why I cropped it this way. I tried a tighter crop first but didn't like it as much.
