It's a beautiful bushbuck - don't think I have ever seen one with such clear lines on the back and such a powerful neck - and not a bush in sight! Good stuff.

agree with Paul! to get them out in the open like this is special. wish the angle was a bit lower but I know how high these vehicles are to begin with and if the animal is standing on lower ground you can't do much but take your shot.

lovely detail as well

Nice one, Ken- makes me wish to visit Kafue again. The Kafue bushbuck do seem to be a tad less shy than others, and somewhat darker, if I recall correctly. Like the detail in the fur. Well done between tsetse bites- quite a distraction:)

Betsie,

Kafue is out of my reach now most of the camps were taken over by Wilderness Safaris and the prices have gone up dramatically! But you can fly in by helicopter, how ecologically sound is that? Ooops almost gorgot the wooden walkways and copper baths!

Morkel

You are right we were on a ridge above the buck.

Nice looking Buck Ken, glad you clarified your position, as I would have made the same observation as Morkel.

Certainly swopping lens from the 100-400 has given you a much better, sharper, cleaner image Ken. A slight tweak in curves & levels does make it pop a bit more, if you feel inclined Ken?;)

By the stance she looks a bit nervous:eek:

Great looking buck here. I like its position in the frame and the nice angle of the body towards the camera.
