I was taking pictures of a Red-headed duck (which I will post later) when I looked up and saw this swan flying toward me for a landing. I was able to refocus on the swan but did not have time to put -EV on the camera. I adjusted in PS and did a small crop
D300s Sigma 150-500
150-500mm @ 450mm
675mm (in 35mm film)
1/1250 sec, f/8
Mode: Av
Metering: Multi-segment
ISO: 400
AF mode: AF-C
White balance: AUTO

Nice BIF image, just too small in the frame IMO. The eye and head this small at 450MM would seem to indicate a large crop?

See the large catch-light in the eye, that might indicate motion blur as well. The cure would be to work on panning technique and/or wider aperture for more SS. Check out the "How To Repository" regarding BIF, there are some good threads there
