Good morning the venice rookery just south of you, as well as estero lagoon in ft myers, good choices to visit.

Fort DeSoto park (beach) in St. Pete was really good last week in spite of the cold weather. Good both morning and afternoon.
I'd also recommend a trip on James' boat for Spoonbills.
