It was around -30 degree Celsius (-22 degree Fahrenheit) when I took this little guy on a rural road. The feather of this bird is so tight that is often really tricky to get some details.

And a pretty little guy he is, Remy, feathers all puffed up for warmth! The dark bg makes him stand out nicely. There is something odd about the outline of both bird and snow, however, that to my eyes makes the whole thing look almost as if it were cut from another image and pasted into this one. Maybe something about the way you selected (if you did) for sharpening and/or lightening? A bit of haloing perhaps altho in some places the "halo" looks dark rather than light.

What a condition :o
I guess there is nothing to blame on this image. I like it very much.

Very Nicely done. There is just the tiniest hint of a halo here and there, but I had to look really hard to find it.

Thanks everybody,

Anita and Jim, you really have hawks eye's. Actually the background is untouch but I did a layer for the bird adding 1% highlight shadow, I did the brush job too fast and you were right about shadow... So I did my job again just for you. ;o)

Regards
