Haven't been on lately, so here is another coyote from the winter wonderland during snowcoach tour.
D300, 400 2.8 w/1.4tc, 1/2500, f5.6, iso200, man exp, HH.
Thanks for looking, comments and critiques appreciated.

I like the image right now, though I would be tempted play with the cropping and maybe take a little bit off the top (or top & left to keep the ratio the same). Also, for me the river (highlight by the rear leg) distracts a bit. Some of the things I really like are: the lighting (which is very nice), the DOF & sharpness, and the soft hues in the background.

Todd - That is one awesome coyote shot, my friend, and the snow is perfect.

Very nice image here Todd, the detail and lighting really enhancing here, also a big plus just for being able to HH that 400+1.4 monster!

Hi Todd ... get a monopod :) Handholding that big lens is no fun !! ... made a very sharp image !!! Not much time getting out and setting up from the snowcoach !!!

Also like the exposure/processing for the light from the left !! Just one sweet image !!!

Hi Todd. as I have said before, an animal I would love to photograph and is on the wish list.:)

I like it as is and would not change it, although I am not sure about the white 'trail' that leads from the tail, right.

cheers

Perfect perspective, and just love the pose, light, and winter colours. Great image.

love the light and pose Todd - and the knee-deep-in-the-snow pose...
I would love to get a chance to photograph some North-American wildlife in the snow one day!

I like the look-back pose, comp, and light, Todd. The only thing I might tweak is the very bright area just behing the tail. Well done.
