It looks like everyone's Muses are gone for vacation somewhere far, including mine :)
The Muses tend to avoid satisfied tummies and contented hearts, their sweet embrace always surrounding those in pain or need. Ahhh, if it weren't for the Muses...

So I pulled this old one from the files, in the hope that a spark may shine close to the keyboard again

Lovely! How did you create the tree effect, Fabs? Was it with liquify or a blur filter? This is very surreal!

As soon as I read the Haiku it reminded me of one of my new favorite songs, "How He Loves Us" by The David Crowder Band. Part of the lyrics are "He loves like a hurricane, I am the tree, bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy..." You've brought that song to life! ;)

Thanks, Jules, I can't remember for sure, it's been very long since, but most probably a soft pass of Flaming Pear's Swerve.

Just beautiful. Very evocative.

Incredible how much can be conveyed in so few words, Fabs.

See you soon :)

Lovely image and well conveyed. I am surprised that none of the moderators actually picked up that your syllables are 5,8,5 not 5,7,5? :)

We did notice the number of syllables but, frankly, who cares?

Beauty is beauty.

Also - and I looked this up - a Haiku doesn't HAVE to be 5/7/5 - that's just the most acceptable form as the flow of words sets a nice tempo. She could always go with "the old tree bends slightly" if she wanted to get technical but who cares...it's lovely!

I feel that when rules take away from the art they need to be broken. :)

Fair enough. I am sure if it were mine there would have been issues reading or getting the "stanzas"....

Are you suggesting I'm getting "special" treatment?
It's usually the other way around, I'm expected to produce miracles ;)

Very nice Fabs

There's an old saying that goes well with this comment...

Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy? :S3:
