I like this, Bob. As for the cropping-it looks like you did well with ROT.
Were you in the park? Never been but I am going there in June.

HI Julie....I was in the park. This is Blacktop Mtn in the southern part of the park. When you go in June....Don't miss the many fawns at Big Meadows in June. . Also, whiteoak Canyon is great for waterfalls

Nice image of my old stomping grounds!

Thanks for sharing. I don't think I would change the comp with cropping at all.

Bob,

Like the scene and the FG details but feel even with all the color it appears flat. I did two things to the repost (1) Local Contrast Enhancement and (2) Curves correction to lighten the scene and then applied mask using a gradient over the green mountains. I then sharpened the whole image. The upper left and right have lens shade vignetting.

This lightens the rocks in the FG (curves) and increases contrast throughout (LCE).

Both discussed at the links below.

Hi Robert. Really like the repost. I will visit the threads you listed. I hope it will explain the part about the mask and gradient for the green mountains. Thanks for your time in helping me with this image!

Bob,

Try them again. I got them fixed. Sorry. :o

If you have any questions, let me know. On the gradient mask, I started drawing it at the bottom of the ridges and stopped at the FG rocks.

Hi Bob, I like Robert's repost...It gave the image more dimension which equals more interest. Nice lighting!

Hi Bob,
I'm fine with the crop as presented and Robert's re-post really brought up the details nicely. Well done!
