I think you did very well, Jeff.
These little guys are always a delightful challenge for me.
They sure don't stay still long, and the wide range of hues makes it interesting.
Here you've captured the right exposure across the plane, as well as excellent feather detail.
The only thing that surprises me, is that the tail dropped OOF, even at F/9.5.
Outstanding job, overall !

Nice capture of a jumpy little bird. I like the perch but I am not fond of the orange band at the top

Nice looking Chickadee well exposed with nice detail and HA, while I am also not to fond of the band in the BG at least it does not intersect the subject.

Exposure and sharpness look great. Look like a bit of noise in the BG. Hard to get these birds still for long.

Thanks Everyone. While I wish that the BG was nicer, with these little ones, beggers cannot be choosers...LOL

Beautiful details in the bird. Difficult bird to get all the details, but you have nailed it. I would crop a little from the top and from the left.

Really well done, Jeff..these little guys are about the only thing around here to photograph and you nailed this Chickadee, sharp, lovely details. Too bad about background but who would have thought we'ed have so little snow in March...TFS
