This is another shot I was able to capture while on Jim Neiger's boat. I added a little blur to BG as there are quite a few sticks in the background. Over-all I was pleased with the capture and would appreciate all comments. Shooting data below:

I think that this one for detail and overall presence is nicely done. Talons are great. Eye detail and beak are good as well. Techs on this one a little different than the last (more what I would think would be correct?).
There is a slight blur around the edge of the bird but I assume that is from the blurring of the background.

Nice image.

The bird stands out well from a busy background but there is a slight blur all around bird. The exposure and focus looks OK on my monitor.

Mac:

the basic image quality here is a def. step up from the previous post. As pointed out however, the post work is spilling over onto the bird. The beak/lores area in particular looks odd.

You are gaining on it overall:)

Much better detail than the previous image Mac. A bit less contrast would help, as would confining your blur to the BG. I would also lighten the iris just a little.

A very nice pose, plus good sharpness and exposure. The blur has been noted - and can be fixed. :)

Hey Mac, great pose and sharpness tha needs to be revisited in post-processing. Hope you got a great time on Jim's boat, hope to go soon myself :)

Here is a repost which I think has addressed most of the problems, although there still seems to be a problem between some feathers near the end of the wings which I didn't notice before I posted the image. Sorry. What does everyone think? Thank you all for your help.

I'm still seeing some blurring around the entire bird Mac.
