It took quite a while for this guy to finish swallowing. I like the way the beak serrations point inward. Photographed at Moss Landing, California.

Good action...would maybe lighten the eye just a tad and would rotate CCW something like 2.5 deg.

agree with bill about lightening the eye. nice action caught here! only wished the bird was giving you a little more of a look back.

Love the ction and perfect timing, Just a little head turn towards you would have been good.
Lighten the eye a tad and a little rotation.

Thanks for the comments. Here it is rotated and lightened around the eye. I would have liked a better head angle, but during the 15 or 20 seconds it took this bird to swallow, he mostly faced away from me. This is the best it got.
