Kostas, nice detail on the stamen throughout the center of the flower and your sharpness looks good. I would definitely change the orientation of this to be a vertical (so it looks like you see it naturally) as I find this sideways orientation very hard to critique. A few things you could do to make this image stronger would be to make sure you have a more even colored background next time (you have areas in the BG that are black, green, and a light purple color). I'd also lighten the exposure some and then clean up all the dirt spots inside the white parts of the image. Also, notice how you cropped right at the edge of the base of the flower along the bottom of the frame - might try to give that just a bit more room next time.

We do have bitter orange here in the U.S. but they won't be blooming for awhile yet - at least where I live! They do smell lovely though!

Hey Kostas, very nice sharp details on the stamens, and agree with Jules on changing the orientation. When looking for subjects try and find subjects with the cleanest and most pristine conditions as the dirt or blotches take away from the look. You could take the time and clone them out.

I like the re-post better. I think I would also prefer a vertical crop with a little more room on the bottom. Not sure if that bottom leaf is blown out a bit. Nice job cleaning it up!

Good advice by Jules and the repost is much better. Great detail captured Kostas.
