Beautiful Mital, like the details, NG, SH and BG. prefer a bit more head turn. Did you blur the corners of the photo?

Excellent shot. I like the low angle, sharpness and pose. I have no problem with the lack of eye contact in here.

Great DOF effect, and the lark is separated from the BG very well. I too, would have liked a better head turn.

Nice and sharp over the entire bird. This would make a great field-guide photo. BG looks great.

Lovely job and very well done for being taken at mid day.
I like the very low angle and how it seems to compress the dof.
I would have also preferred a tad of head turn but still a very nice photo.

Mital, low angle makes this superb. The right way to do things. Like the details, exp, BG a lot. Yes, a little head turn would have been better but you might not have got the beak open like that. Why am I thinking you have one with the right head turn but beak closed :-)

A tad more room at top? may be. not sure.

having said that this lark usually dont stay steady more than a second and run so fast on the hot soil of that desert where it found in good numbers.

i was literally laying down on ground on hot sand and luckily after few seconds she become interested on that huge glass on ground and came in front to check what that was ???

i just clicked few shots in different compo and angle and wish i could have the one said by all.

but here i am posting one more of the series.

this is different than profile shot as i liked the sand blow up by wing and half the raised curious body with nice light and angle.

these are all full frame shots btw. and was so hard to make track them such close with fast movement without tripod and on 0 level ground on blowing hot sand.

Excelllent image. I like the sharpness and the background color which goes very well with the color of the bird.
I would add more room to the top and wish the front were more in focus.
