Sharpness, exposure and BG look good. The whites have a magenta cast on my monitor.

I like the straight on look with a bit of dirt on the end of the beak, Ryan. Also nice sharpness, exposure, DOF, and background. I would agree about the magenta cast.

Axel, Steve

Thanks guys so much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. You're both absolutely correct on the magenta cast. For some reason it was there pretty much straight out of the camera, and I've had quite a time trying to fix it. I don't have a clue why that happened, but I think I managed to tone it down at least a bit. Do either of you know a reason why the whites, as well as the robin's dark gray feathers would come out with a heavy magenta cast?

Ryan,

He looks like he's in a police line-up. lol I like how sharp this is with nice feather detail. What WB setting did you use?

Ryan- I like the head-on idea here. Well done.

I colour correct using LAB colour. Here is the result. Essentially just convert to LAB colour and adjust the a and b channels in Curves until the whites are running roughly 0,0. I did this to the whole image without protecting the BG so it's now yellow- maybe it was this colour to begin with??!
