This species doesn't generally feed on flowers and I usually find them perched in places that don't offer the best photo ops. This one is on the roof of my car. The wings are open and the one in front is pointed straight at the camera. The other wing is what you see on the left. It's dark and I want it that way because I'm trying to showcase the head in this shot.
I'm sure this photo won't appeal to everyone and many of you would rather see the full, beautiful butterfly.
