...... in a village in the Thar Desert near Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India in early Feb.. These birds were widespread, and relatively tame, on our recent trip.

Cool looking bird, you did a nice job handling the exposure considering the light and I like the way the BG compliments the subject. I think some fill flash would have been nice to pull some more details out of the blacks and the top of the BG being in shadow is small distraction.

Great bird, did well under strong light, I think lower angle would
make this image better.

Very nice shorebird. Like the horizontal pose and the angle.
