I knew that I could have shot at ISO400 and get a better shutter speed. ;) This was from when I first got my D700 and 200-400 lens. Now, I know better. Thank you for stopping by. Any critiques are welcomed!

Great find and I like the composition. I agree regarding ISO and would try to remove the red in the eye, you don't mention using flash but I guess this is the reason.

Thank you. This trip. I think some I shot with flash but off the camera, not external. Just wanted to get some light on it.

Nice profile but the background seems too bright for me -- I would select that background and desat the colors so the background does not steal the spotlight from the owl
