I love sitting amongst a troop of baboons and gazing at their interactions. This shot was taken outside Shingwedzi rest camp in Kruger over December. It was drizzling slightly and these baboons were still going about their business. The young ones were still very clingy and this one was being stabilised on his mother's back by an aunt.

All comments most welcome.

Nice interaction Morkel. Exposure and sharpness look good. Crop choice on this is difficult with all the cut body parts. I looked at it cropped to a vert bringing even more attention to the interaction, I like both ideas. Well done and must have been quite an experience. TFS

Great interaction here Morkel, well portrayed with the wet fur enhancing well.
Did you have room for the baby underneath or did the foliage interfere? Would be nice to see, if it's possible.

I like the close eye contact between the two, and the overcast conditions have brought out their wet fur nicely. The tight crop emphasises the baby very well.

It is always difficult to get good separation, I might clone out the hands arms of the baby hanging under mummy.

Nice interaction. The bright vegetation on the bottom right attracts attention. I would crop from bottom and right to eliminate the vegetation. The arms of the baby at the bottom left is not so obvious. However the crop from the bottom would eliminate that. Also, the focal point is the baby on top. So moving the camera a bit upwards would have eliminated the requirement for crop. Thanks for sharing. Look forward to more.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Hi Morkel Lovely Pinkface. Tried a crop, but file too large. Agree with cloning hands. The face and neck hair of the female facing the Pinkface makes the picture for me!

thanks for the feedback everyone...

here is a tighter crop as requested. I am trying to stay away from cloning as far as possible, except for the odd distracting twig or so...
