As promised....here's mercury.... or my interpretationof it! Same set up....2 liter soda bottle with pin hole hung from the rafters of my basement and a clear dish with water about 3 feet below it. Image of earth below that......Mobile One motor oil splashed on top......3 stobes at 1/64 power. Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro at f29 for 1/200 sec and ISO 400. Manually focused tripod mounted. Cropped slighly and flipped horizontally (normally don't do that but just flowed better).
PS Saved at 56 quality

Roman,

I'm a big fan of there Edgerton coronet photos. Love the color & sharpness seen here. Great technique and creativity. Not sure what you mean with PS 56.

Another neat image, Roman. I'll bet you could spend HOURS trying different variables on this set up. I like everything about this except the small yellow area right below the main bubble - might clone that out if it were mine.

Wild! I thought it was a sea cucumber or something when I saw the thumbnail. Great abstract image with wonderful colors.
