Sad that there is a twig next to its leg :(

Good-looking specimen and eye contact and I like the soft light, too. I would put the bird a bit higher in the frame to include the 'virtual feet'.

Very nice capture, the bird is excellent.
I would clone away the two OOF grass stems
just in front and behind the bird in the BG.
Agree with Axel about the feet.
Nice one.

It seems India has a lot of similar species that we have here in South Africa. I like the light and pastel colours, together with the blurred lower BG.

Love the soft light and pose. Very interesting bird. Also agree with a bit higher in the frame.

I also agree with the previous posts about the framing, it would also place the horizon off the half point of the frame, which I don't really like. I wonder how would this shot look like as a landscape instead of a portrait...

Very sharp, with a beautiful BG Vinay.

As everyone has said nice lighting. I also wonder how the shot would look in landscape form since I really like the brown in the photo.

My thoughts too. With the bird adopting an elongated posture for this image I find it feels bordeline cramped with the vertical comp. Perhaps a square with lots from the top cropped out would work well too. Perfect exposure, and very sharp as posted. Love the eye!!
