I'm not sure about the larger petal in the lower right corner, should I remove?

I like the soft feel of this and soft colors. nice. The petal in the LRC does not bother me.

Keep on posting these soft images Mike as I find them so beautiful. Love the colour combination in this and the lovely soft light. I think the petal should stay.:)

I think it could go either way - part of me likes how it anchors the plant and the other part of me thinks it's a bit heavy. I know...I'm no help! ;)

I agree that it does add some weight at the base, but then the petal looks heavy and pulls your eay there. Maybe I could lighten it so it's not so noticeable.

Great image Mike. I agree with Jules-it could go either way. I really like the green texture with the soft flower color and BG. How are you getting soft light from an overhead fixture? No diffuser?

Hey Julie, the overhead light is from some incandecent lighting over an island counter in my kitchen. No diffusers. The BG is from my refridgerator which is actually beige.

LOL! This is exactly the same setup I use for many of my macro shots. There's an incandescent light above the island in my kitchen and 2 windows above the nearby sink which gives different lighting depending on the time of day.

I think that lightening that leaf would be the way to go. A quick play in Photoshop has convinced me.

Beautiful and dreamy. Great composition and colors. I vote for lightening the lower right leaf. I especially like your high-tech studio. :-)
