I was doing a shoot for the local wildlife refuge, the criteria is that you have the show the habitat an ambiance as much as the bird so that it would be recognizable for visitors, the GEs and snowys often hang out in these marshes, I personally think this one does the job, what do you think? This is typical winter light, not the best but it is a general scenery that a visitor will encounter during this season.

BTW, finally took that itching feather off! wish it was larger!

Arash, I love the habitat image. Very nice. On my monitor the bird has a slight blue cast. Also, what is on the end of the beak? Also maybe a tad more sharpening. Congrats on a very nice image!!

I like it. This is a matter of preference, but I would adjust the cyan cast to warm it up.

Davids repost has a nice warm feeling - OP did feel a little cold.
IMHO - Fits your requirements perfectly Arash!!

Arash:

I think the bird is distinct enough to work well in this 'habitat image'.

You might consider toning down the whites on the birds left shoulder.

A very slight warming of the color temp. would work well (ala David)

Cheers

Habitat works very well, and meets the intent. Agree that some warming helps; maybe a point or two less than David's repost. In any event, a handsome shot.
