Common Green Magpie

Common green magpie shot in Fraser's Hill in Malaysia. This shot was taken near a lamp post. It was early morning. There was lot of mist as this place is a hill station. The street lights were still on.

Equipment: Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm F2.8 L IS USM.
Shooting Info: ISO 640, +1/3 EV, 1/30 at f2.8.

lovely bird...the central placing works well in this case... the busy OOF BG also works and ties in nicely with the stalk/leaf on left. agree with Axel about sharpening. lovely image...

I like this, a very moody image and has a nice feel to it. Nice composition and I even like the head turn here. A little soft maybe in spots perhaps from slow shutter speed.

I would personally prefer the bird's placement more to the left as the head turn makes it looking towards the right. I like the lush setting, and the bird itself is nothing short of a spectacular looking species!
